  • You must hold a current or recently expired (less than 5 years old) Statement of Attainment listing all 7 Standard 11 Surface competencies, provide valid photo ID, be at least 18 years of age, and have access to a reliable internet connection.

  • Upon successful completion, you will be issued a Statement of Attainment under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised and required for access to Queensland Underground Coal mines.

  • $400 enrolment fee, no additional fees for certificate reissuing

This course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge to carry out risk management processes in mining operations.

Participants will gain the expertise required to identify hazards, assess risks, implement controls, and monitor risk management outcomes.

This competency is a statutory requirement for certain roles under mining legislation, and is increasingly required for anyone in a supervisory capacity.

  • This course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively undertake the role of a Supervisor.

    Participants will gain the expertise required to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Supervisor, including risk identification, implementation of risk management strategies, and conducting health and safety investigations.

    ✓ RIIWHS301E – Conduct safety and health investigations

    ✓ RIICOM301E – Communicate information

  • Students must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have at least a Year 10 level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills.

  • Upon successful completion, you will be issued a Statement of Attainment under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised and required for supervisor roles at Queensland mine sites.
